Policy

  • Equine Exchange (EE) reserves the right to refuse items determined to be unsafe
    or unmarketable
  • Items should be in good, clean, condition.
  • Equine Exchange will not be responsible for repairs or cleaning.
  • Clothing should be washed or dry cleaned.
  • Boots should be polished.
  • Tack cleaned and oiled.
  • Sale prices are based on fair marketvalue and will be negotiated with consignor at
    time of consigning
  • The agreement will include, name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, list
    of items consigned, owners stated value, store value and how the check is to be
    delivered (pickup or mail) Mail mostly available to out of area consignors

    Procedure:
  1. Consignor brings in items and works out sale agreement with Equine Exchange
  2. Items left with EE either as consignment or temporarily housed while agreement
    is being reached will be receipted to consignor.  Items to be tagged with
    consignor's id number.
  3. Copies of all receipts and agreements will be provided to consignor at time of
    goods arrival;  EE and consignor both to have signed copies.
  4. Books are closed at the end of every month, statements ready by the 5th, and
    checks available for sold items on the 8th of every month.
    Consignment Fee's:
    Saddles...............................Store fee 20%  Consignor receives 80% of sales price
    Everything else................Store fee 35% Consignor receives 65% of sales price
     Helmets are not accepted for safety reasons
